    We are looking for an outstanding candidate for an exciting research position in a fully funded startup biotechnology company.

    Demonstrated expertise in hands-on cellular and molecular techniques including mammalian cell culture, enzymatic and metabolic research techniques.

    The position is at a Research Scientist or Research Associate level and is immediately available in Downtown Philadelphia.


    The successful candidate should have a B.A / B.S in Biochemistry, Cell biology or a related discipline, with 5+ years OR a MSc with 2 years industrial experience

    Previous experience developing biologic molecule leads or small molecule leads is preferred.

    The ability to legally work in the US is a must.

    The successful applicant will be expected to contribute translational research effort to support the development of a novel therapeutic entity intended to treat patients with Friedreich Ataxia, a devastating mitochondrial disease.


    The position requires a demonstrated working knowledge in both Biochemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology techniques as they apply to assay development and mechanistic studies.


    The ability to implement rigorous experiments aiming at the optimization and validation of novel bioassays will be a central part of this position.


    Experience with protein-based assays like Elisa, enzymatic assay as well as molecular characterization techniques is highly desirable.


    The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record of scientific accomplishments, and impeccable references. Candidate can foresee working in a fast-paced, collaborative and challenging research environment in which delivering a therapeutic solution to patients is the primary focus.
